Afterwards his disciples came to him, and said: "Why do you speak to them in parables?"

"Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins except God?"

When the Teachers of the Law belonging to the party of the Pharisees saw that he was eating in the company of such people, they said to his disciples: "He is eating in the company of tax- gatherers and outcasts!"

His parents were amazed when they saw him, and his mother said to him: "My child, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been searching for you in great distress."

At this moment his disciples came up, and were surprised to find him talking with a woman; but none of them asked 'What do you want?' or 'Why are you talking with her?'

But no one at table understood why he said this to Judas.
