'Amid' in the Bible
Then the sons of Israel went to buy grain amid those [other people] who went [as well], for there was famine in the land of Canaan.
Amid troubling thoughts from night visions, at [the] falling of deep sleep on men,
As [through] a wide breach they come; amid a crash they rush on.
