'Arrogance' in the Bible
“Boast no more so very proudly,Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth;For the Lord is a God of knowledge,And with Him actions are weighed.
‘Because of your raging against Me,And because your arrogance has come up to My ears,Therefore I will put My hook in your nose,And My bridle in your lips,And I will turn you back by the way which you came.
“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;Pride and arrogance and the evil wayAnd the perverted mouth, I hate.
There is a kind—oh how lofty are his eyes!And his eyelids are raised in arrogance.
And all the people know it,That is, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria,Asserting in pride and in arrogance of heart:
Thus I will punish the world for its evilAnd the wicked for their iniquity;I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proudAnd abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.
We have heard of the pride of Moab, an excessive pride;Even of his arrogance, pride, and fury;His idle boasts are false.

But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil.
