'Asleep' in the Bible
He fell asleep and dreamed a second time: Seven heads of grain, plump and ripe, came up on one stalk.
Then she let him fall asleep on her lap and called a man to shave off the seven braids on his head. In this way, she made him helpless, and his strength left him.

For David, after serving his own generation in God’s plan, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and decayed.
This is why many are sick and ill among you, and many have fallen asleep.
Then He appeared to over 500 brothers at one time;most of them are still alive,but some have fallen asleep.
Therefore, those who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished.
But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
Listen! I am telling you a mystery:We will not all fall asleep,but we will all be changed,
We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.
For we say this to you by a revelation from the Lord: We who are still alive at the Lord’s coming will certainly have no advantage over those who have fallen asleep.
who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.
saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? Ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation.”
