I will ransom them from the power of Sheol.
I will redeem them from death.
Death, where are your barbs?

Compassion is hidden from My eyes.

Even after my skin has been destroyed,
yet I will see God in my flesh.

For You will not abandon me to Sheol;
You will not allow Your Faithful One to see decay.

But God will redeem my life
from the power of Sheol,

Your dead will live; their bodies will rise.
Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust!
For you will be covered with the morning dew,
and the earth will bring out the departed spirits.

Women received their dead—they were raised to life again. Some men were tortured, not accepting release, so that they might gain a better resurrection,

But when the crowd had been put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.

The dead man came out bound hand and foot with linen strips and with his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him and let him go.”

Then He came up and touched the open coffin, and the pallbearers stopped. And He said, “Young man, I tell you, get up!”

And they came out of the tombs after His resurrection, entered the holy city, and appeared to many.

For we know that if our temporary, earthly dwelling is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands.

But as for you, go on your way to the end; you will rest, then rise to your destiny at the end of the days.”

because they were provoked that they were teaching the people and proclaiming the resurrection from the dead, using Jesus as the example.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live.

For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also comes through a man. For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

Jesus answered them, "You are deceived, because you don't know the Scriptures or the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels in heaven. Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come out-those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of judgment.

And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; afterward, at His coming, those who belong to Christ.

Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord.

Listen! I am telling you a mystery:

And I have a hope in God, which these men themselves also accept, that there is going to be a resurrection, both of the righteous and the unrighteous.

While I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. As I looked, tendons appeared on them, flesh grew, and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man. Say to it: This is what the Lord God says: Breath, come from the four winds and breathe into these slain so that they may live!" So I prophesied as He commanded me; the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, a vast army.

Foolish one! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And as for what you sow-you are not sowing the future body, but only a seed, perhaps of wheat or another grain.

The same day some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came up to Him and questioned Him:

For the Sadducees say there is no resurrection, and no angel or spirit, but the Pharisees affirm them all.

Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came up and questioned Him:

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day.

Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear His voice

This is the will of Him who sent Me: that I should lose none of those He has given Me but should raise them up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."

“I assure you: Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself. But if it dies, it produces a large crop.

But someone will say, "How are the dead raised? What kind of body will they have when they come?" Foolish one! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And as for what you sow-you are not sowing the future body, but only a seed, perhaps of wheat or another grain. read more.
But God gives it a body as He wants, and to each of the seeds its own body. Not all flesh is the same flesh; there is one flesh for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is different from that of the earthly ones. There is a splendor of the sun, another of the moon, and another of the stars; for star differs from star in splendor. So it is with the resurrection of the dead: Sown in corruption, raised in incorruption; sown in dishonor, raised in glory; sown in weakness, raised in power; sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being ; the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth and made of dust; the second man is from heaven. Like the man made of dust, so are those who are made of dust; like the heavenly man, so are those who are heavenly. And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, we will also bear the image of the heavenly man.

Then also, some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers argued with him. Some said, “What is this pseudo-intellectual trying to say?”

Others replied, “He seems to be a preacher of foreign deities”—because he was telling the good news about Jesus and the Resurrection.

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.

Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is.

some to eternal life,
and some to shame and eternal contempt.

and come out—those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of judgment.

Now if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say, "There is no resurrection of the dead"? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without foundation, and so is your faith. read more.
In addition, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified about God that He raised up Christ-whom He did not raise up if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Therefore those who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished. If we have placed our hope in Christ for this life only, we should be pitied more than anyone. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without foundation, and so is your faith.

Jesus told them, “Are you not deceived because you don’t know the Scriptures or the power of God?

Why is it considered incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?

So it is with the resurrection of the dead:

Sown in corruption, raised in incorruption;

sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

sown in dishonor, raised in glory;
sown in weakness, raised in power;

sown in dishonor, raised in glory;
sown in weakness, raised in power;

Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say, “There is no resurrection of the dead”?

Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of the Messiah, and they will reign with Him for 1,000 years.

When the Messiah, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

They have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and are overturning the faith of some.

And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through His Spirit who lives in you.

When they heard about resurrection of the dead, some began to ridicule him. But others said, “We’d like to hear from you again about this.”

And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
