'Called' in the Bible

From: Paul, a servant of Jesus the Messiah, called to be an apostle and set apart for God's gospel,

You, too, are among those who have been called to belong to Jesus the Messiah.

To: Everyone in Rome, loved by God and called to be holy. May grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, be yours!

So while her husband is living, she will be called an adulterer if she lives with another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from this Law, so that she is not an adulterer if she marries another man.

And we know that for those who love God, that is, for those who are called according to his purpose, all things are working together for good.

And those whom he predestined, he also called; and those whom he called, he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.

including us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but from the gentiles as well?

In the very place where it was told them, "You are not my people,' they will be called children of the living God."
