'Decided' in the Bible
And they judged the people at all times; they would bring the difficult cases to Moses, but every minor dispute they judged and decided themselves.
But while your servant was busy here and there, he [escaped and] was gone.” And the king of Israel said to him, “Such is your own judgment (verdict); you have determined it.”
Now it came about after this that Joash decided to restore the house (temple) of the Lord.
he decided, together with his officers and his soldiers, to stop up the water [supply] from the springs which were outside the city [by enclosing them with masonry and concealing them], and they helped him.
“I said ‘So I must arise now and go out into the city;Into the streets and into the squares [places I do not know]I must seek him whom my soul loves.’I sought him but I did not find him.
For though your people, O Israel, may be as the sand of the sea,Only a remnant within them will return; The destruction is determined [it is decided and destined for completion], overflowing with justice (righteous punishment).
