'Devoured' in the Bible
“In vain I have struck your sons;They accepted no chastening.Your sword has devoured your prophetsLike a destroying lion.
Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know YouAnd on the families that do not call Your name;For they have devoured Jacob;They have devoured him and consumed himAnd have laid waste his habitation.
‘Therefore all who devour you will be devoured;And all your adversaries, every one of them, will go into captivity;And those who plunder you will be for plunder,And all who prey upon you I will give for prey.
