'Ears' in the Bible
In my ears the Lord of hosts has sworn, “Surely, many houses shall become desolate,Even great and fine ones, without occupants.
“Render the hearts of this people insensitive,Their ears dull,And their eyes dim,Otherwise they might see with their eyes,Hear with their ears,Understand with their hearts,And return and be healed.”
And He will delight in the fear of the Lord,And He will not judge by what His eyes see,Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;
It will be even like the reaper gathering the standing grain,As his arm harvests the ears,Or it will be like one gleaning ears of grainIn the valley of Rephaim.
Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded,And the ears of those who hear will listen.
He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity,He who rejects unjust gainAnd shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe;He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshedAnd shuts his eyes from looking upon evil;
Then the eyes of the blind will be openedAnd the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.
“Because of your raging against MeAnd because your arrogance has come up to My ears,Therefore I will put My hook in your noseAnd My bridle in your lips,And I will turn you back by the way which you came.
You have seen many things, but you do not observe them;Your ears are open, but none hears.
Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes,And the deaf, even though they have ears.
“The children of whom you were bereaved will yet say in your ears,‘The place is too cramped for me;Make room for me that I may live here.’
