'Envious' in the Bible

A Psalm of David.Do not fret because of evildoers,Be not envious toward wrongdoers.

For I was envious of the arrogantAs I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

When they became envious of Moses in the camp,And of Aaron, the holy one of the Lord,

Do not be envious of evil men,Nor desire to be with them;

Do not fret because of evildoersOr be envious of the wicked;

Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’

You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
