So he showed them the entrance to the city, and they attacked the city with swords, but they let the man and his entire family escape.

"Right"," Gideon responded. "Sir, how will I deliver Israel? Look my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I'm the youngest in my father's household."

The Israelis left there at that time, each man to his tribe and family, and each of them went down from there to his territorial allotment.
