'Folk' in the Bible
And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.
The ants are not a strong people, But they prepare their food in the summer;
The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
When its boughs are withered and dry, they are broken off; the women come and set them afire. For they are a people of no understanding or discernment -- " witless folk; therefore He Who made them will not have compassion on them, and He Who formed them will show them no favor.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
And there also came together the multitudes from the cities round about Jerusalem, bring sick folk, and them that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
