'Forget' in the Bible
For He who avenges blood [unjustly shed] remembers them (His people);He does not forget the cry of the afflicted and abused.
The wicked will turn to Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead),Even all the nations who forget God.
Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand [in judgment];Do not forget the suffering.
How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?How long will You hide Your face from me?
Why do You hide Your faceAnd forget our affliction and our oppression?
Hear, O daughter, consider and incline your ear [to my instruction]:Forget your people and your father’s house;
“Now consider this, you who forget God,Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be no one to rescue [you].
Do not kill them, or my people will forget;Scatter them and make them wander [endlessly] back and forth by Your power, and bring them down,O Lord our shield!
Oh, do not hand over the soul of your turtledove to the wild beast;Do not forget the life of Your afflicted forever.
Do not forget the [clamoring] voices of Your adversaries,The uproar of those who rise against You, which ascends continually [to Your ears].
That they should place their confidence in GodAnd not forget the works of God,But keep His commandments,
Will Your wonders be known in the darkness?And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness [where the dead forget and are forgotten]?
My heart has been struck like grass and withered,Indeed, [absorbed by my heartache] I forget to eat my food.
Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,And do not forget any of His benefits;
I will delight in Your statutes;I will not forget Your word.
For I have become like a wineskin [blackened and shriveled] in the smoke [in which it hangs],Yet I do not forget Your statutes.
I will never forget Your precepts,For by them You have revived me and given me life.
