'Forgotten' in the Bible

Can a young woman forget her jewelryor a bride her wedding sash?Yet My people have forgotten Mefor countless days.

A sound is heard on the barren heights,the children of Israel weeping and begging for mercy,for they have perverted their way;they have forgotten the Lord their God.

This is your lot,what I have decreed for you—this is the Lord’s declaration—because you have forgotten Meand trusted in Falsehood.

Yet My people have forgotten Me.They burn incense to false idolsthat make them stumble in their wayson the ancient roadsand walk on new paths, not the highway.
