'Hills' in the Bible
“Surely, the hills are a deception,A tumult on the mountains.Surely in the Lord our GodIs the salvation of Israel.
I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking,And all the hills moved to and fro.
“As for your adulteries and your lustful neighings,The lewdness of your prostitutionOn the hills in the field,I have seen your abominations.Woe to you, O Jerusalem!How long will you remain unclean?”
As they remember their children,So they remember their altars and their AsherimBy green trees on the high hills.
“Again you will plant vineyardsOn the hills of Samaria;The planters will plantAnd will enjoy them.
“For there will be a day when watchmenOn the hills of Ephraim call out,‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion,To the Lord our God.’”
