'Hired' in the Bible

They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

When it was evening the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, 'Call the workers and give the pay starting with the last hired until the first.'

And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

When those hired first came, they thought that they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius.

Take what belongs to you and go, but I choose to give to this last man [hired] the same as I give to you.
