'Hopefully' in the Bible
Indeed, none of those who [expectantly] wait for You will be ashamed; Those who turn away from what is right and deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed (humiliated, embarrassed).
I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched; My eyes fail while I wait [with confident expectation] for my God.
[The] eyes of all look hopefully to you, and you give them their food in due time,
“He will not be disheartened or crushed [in spirit];[He will persevere] until He has established justice on the earth; And the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law.”
“Kings will be your guardians,And their princesses your nurses. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earthAnd lick the dust of your feet; And you will know that I am the Lord; Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame.
The Lord is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him,To those who seek Him [on the authority of God’s word].
Under utterly hopeless circumstances he hopefully believed, so that he might become the forefather of many nations, in agreement with the words "Equally numerous shall your posterity be."
