'Hoping' in the Bible
Give glory to the Lord your God,Before He brings darknessAnd before your feet stumbleOn the dusky mountains,And while you are hoping for lightHe makes it into deep darkness,And turns it into gloom.
Now Herod was very glad when he saw Jesus; for he had wanted to see Him for a long time, because he had been hearing about Him and was hoping to see some sign performed by Him.
But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, it is the third day since these things happened.
At the same time too, he was hoping that money would be given him by Paul; therefore he also used to send for him quite often and converse with him.
