'Kept' in the Bible
As for [the] works of humankind, by the word of your lips, I have kept [from] the ways of [the] violent.
Because I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and have not acted wickedly against my God,
and I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from my guilt.
When I kept silent, my bones were worn out due to my groaning all the day.
You have kept count of my wonderings. Put my tears in your bottle; [are they] not in your book?
because you have delivered my soul from death. [Have you] not [kept] my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
the one who has kept our soul among the living, and has not allowed our foot to slip.
Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure, and washed my hands in innocence.
He spoke to them in [the] pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies and [the] statute he gave to them.
{Remove from} me scorn and contempt, for I have kept your testimonies.
