'Lack' in the Bible
There is no limit to our affection for you, but you are limited in your own affection [for us].
but on the principle of equality; in the present time your abundance for their lack, that their abundance may be for your lack, so that there should be equality.
As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through many givings of thanks to God;
