'Law' in the Bible
If any of you has a legal dispute against another, do you dare go to court before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
Instead, believer goes to court against believer, and that before unbelievers!
Am I saying this from a human perspective? Doesn’t the law also say the same thing?
For it is written in the law of Moses, Do not muzzle an ox while it treads out grain. Is God really concerned with oxen?
To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win Jews; to those under the law, like one under the law—though I myself am not under the law—to win those under the law.
To those who are without that law, like one without the law—not being without God’s law but within Christ’s law—to win those without the law.
It is written in the law:I will speak to these peopleby people of other languagesand by the lips of foreigners,and even then, they will not listen to Me,says the Lord.
the women should be silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak, but should be submissive, as the law also says.
Now the sting of death is sin,and the power of sin is the law.
