'Left' in the Bible
Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel left her.
When the devil had finished every temptation, he [temporarily] left Him until a more opportune time.
Then Jesus got up and left the synagogue and went to Simon’s (Peter’s) house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Him to help her.
Standing over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her; and immediately she got up and began serving them [as her guests].
When daybreak came, Jesus left [Simon Peter’s house] and went to a secluded place; and the crowds were searching for Him, and [they] came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving them.
After they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him [becoming His disciples, believing and trusting in Him and following His example].
And Jesus reached out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him.
But woe (judgment is coming) to you who are rich [and place your faith in possessions while remaining spiritually impoverished], for you are [already] receiving your comfort in full [and there is nothing left to be awarded to you].
But Martha was very busy and distracted with all of her serving responsibilities; and she approached Him and said, “Lord, is it of no concern to You that my sister has left me to do the serving alone? Tell her to help me and do her part.”
When He left there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be very hostile [toward Him] and to interrogate Him on many subjects,
Listen carefully: your house is left to you desolate [abandoned by God and destitute of His protection]; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed [to be celebrated with praise] is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
And a poor man named Lazarus, was laid at his gate, covered with sores.
I tell you, on that night [when Messiah comes again] there will be two [sleeping] in one bed; the one (the non-believer) will be taken [away in judgment] and the other (the believer) will be left.
There will be two women grinding [at the mill] together; the one (the non-believer) will be taken [away in judgment] and the other (the believer) will be left.
[Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.”]
Peter said, “Look, we have left all [things—homes, families, businesses] and followed You.”
And He said to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,
“As for all these things which you see, the time will come when there will not be one stone left on another that will not be torn down.”
“There will be signs (attesting miracles) in the sun and moon and stars; and on the earth [there will be] distress and anguish among nations, in perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea and the waves,
When they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left.
