'Men' in the Bible
O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach?How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah.
Put them in fear, O Lord;Let the nations know that they are but men. Selah.
The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven;His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

As for the deeds of men, by the word of Your lipsI have kept from the paths of the violent.
From men with Your hand, O Lord,From men of the world, whose portion is in this life,And whose belly You fill with Your treasure;They are satisfied with children,And leave their abundance to their babes.
Their offspring You will destroy from the earth,And their descendants from among the sons of men.
But I am a worm and not a man,A reproach of men and despised by the people.
I do not sit with deceitful men,Nor will I go with pretenders.
Do not take my soul away along with sinners,Nor my life with men of bloodshed,
How great is Your goodness,Which You have stored up for those who fear You,Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You,Before the sons of men!
The Lord looks from heaven;He sees all the sons of men;
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
You are fairer than the sons of men;Grace is poured upon Your lips;Therefore God has blessed You forever.
For he sees that even wise men die;The stupid and the senseless alike perishAnd leave their wealth to others.
Though while he lives he congratulates himself—And though men praise you when you do well for yourself—
God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of menTo see if there is anyone who understands,Who seeks after God.
For strangers have risen against meAnd violent men have sought my life;They have not set God before them. Selah.
But You, O God, will bring them down to the pit of destruction;Men of bloodshed and deceit will not live out half their days.But I will trust in You.
My soul is among lions;I must lie among those who breathe forth fire,Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrowsAnd their tongue a sharp sword.

Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie;In the balances they go up;They are together lighter than breath.
Then all men will fear,And they will declare the work of God,And will consider what He has done.
Come and see the works of God,Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.
You made men ride over our heads;We went through fire and through water,Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.
You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives;You have received gifts among men,Even among the rebellious also, that the Lord God may dwell there.
May his name endure forever;May his name increase as long as the sun shines;And let men bless themselves by him;Let all nations call him blessed.
They are not in trouble as other men,Nor are they plagued like mankind.

The anger of God rose against themAnd killed some of their stoutest ones,And subdued the choice men of Israel.

Fire devoured His young men,And His virgins had no wedding songs.
“Nevertheless you will die like menAnd fall like any one of the princes.”
O God, arrogant men have risen up against me,And a band of violent men have sought my life,And they have not set You before them.
Remember what my span of life is;For what vanity You have created all the sons of men!
You turn man back into dustAnd say, “Return, O children of men.”
That men may tell of the name of the Lord in ZionAnd His praise in Jerusalem,
When they were only a few men in number,Very few, and strangers in it.
Let them give thanks to the Lord for His lovingkindness,And for His wonders to the sons of men!

Do not incline my heart to any evil thing,To practice deeds of wickednessWith men who do iniquity;And do not let me eat of their delicacies.
Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts,And I will tell of Your greatness.
To make known to the sons of men Your mighty actsAnd the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
