“The paths of their course wind along,They go up into nothing and perish.
“So are the paths of all who forget God;And the hope of the godless will perish,
“You put my feet in the stocksAnd watch all my paths;You set a limit for the soles of my feet,
“He has walled up my way so that I cannot pass,And He has put darkness on my paths.
“Others have been with those who rebel against the light;They do not want to know its waysNor abide in its paths.
‘He puts my feet in the stocks;He watches all my paths.’
That you may take it to its territoryAnd that you may discern the paths to its home?
The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea,Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
As for the deeds of men, by the word of Your lipsI have kept from the paths of the violent.
My steps have held fast to Your paths.My feet have not slipped.
He restores my soul;He guides me in the paths of righteousnessFor His name’s sake.
All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truthTo those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord,And He watches all his paths.

“I walk in the way of righteousness,In the midst of the paths of justice,
Calling to those who pass by,Who are making their paths straight:
And many peoples will come and say,“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,To the house of the God of Jacob;That He may teach us concerning His waysAnd that we may walk in His paths.”For the law will go forth from ZionAnd the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
O My people! Their oppressors are children,And women rule over them.O My people! Those who guide you lead you astrayAnd confuse the direction of your paths.
“I will lead the blind by a way they do not know,In paths they do not know I will guide them.I will make darkness into light before themAnd rugged places into plains.These are the things I will do,And I will not leave them undone.”
They do not know the way of peace,And there is no justice in their tracks;They have made their paths crooked,Whoever treads on them does not know peace.
Thus says the Lord,“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths,Where the good way is, and walk in it;And you will find rest for your souls.But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
‘For My people have forgotten Me,They burn incense to worthless godsAnd they have stumbled from their ways,From the ancient paths,To walk in bypaths,Not on a highway,
“Therefore their way will be like slippery paths to them,They will be driven away into the gloom and fall down in it;For I will bring calamity upon them,The year of their punishment,” declares the Lord.
He has blocked my ways with hewn stone;He has made my paths crooked.
“Therefore, behold, I will hedge up her way with thorns,And I will build a wall against her so that she cannot find her paths.
They run like mighty men,They climb the wall like soldiers;And they each march in line,Nor do they deviate from their paths.
Many nations will come and say,“Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LordAnd to the house of the God of Jacob,That He may teach us about His waysAnd that we may walk in His paths.”For from Zion will go forth the law,Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
