'Purposed' in the Bible
Because Aram, along with Ephraim (Israel) and the son of Remaliah, have planned evil against you (Judah), saying,
The Lord of hosts has sworn [an oath], saying, “Just as I have intended, so it has certainly happened, and just as I have planned, so it will stand—
This is the plan [of God] decided for the whole earth [regarded as conquered and put under tribute by Assyria]; and this is the hand [of God] that is stretched out over all the nations.
For the Lord of hosts has decided and planned, and who can annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?”

Who has planned this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns,Whose merchants were princes, whose traders were the honored of the earth?
The Lord of hosts has planned it, to defile the pride of all beauty,To bring into contempt and humiliation all the honored of the earth.
“Have you not heard [says the God of Israel]That I did it long ago,That I planned it in ancient times? Now I have brought it to pass,That you [king of Assyria] would [be My instrument to] turn fortified cities into ruinous heaps.
Calling a bird of prey from the east,From a far country, the man (Cyrus) of My purpose.Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.I have planned it, be assured I will do it.
