'Risk' in the Bible
"Give me 12,000 men! I'll leave tonight and pursue David," Ahithophel advised Absalom.
If I had acted at risk of my own life -- and nothing is hidden from the king! -- you would have abandoned me."
And he said, Be it far from me, Jehovah, that I should do this thing! is it not the blood of the men that went at the risk of their lives? Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.
David said, “I would never do such a thing in the presence of God! How can I drink the blood of these men who risked their lives?” For they brought it at the risk of their lives. So he would not drink it. Such were the exploits of the three warriors.
Some [of the men] of Manasseh also defected to David when he came with the Philistines to go to battle against Saul. But David’s men did not [actually] assist the Philistines, for the lords (governors) of the Philistines after consultation sent him away, saying, “At the cost of our heads he may defect to his master Saul.”
Why do I put myself at riskand take my life in my own hands?
‘Their leader shall be one of them,And their ruler shall come forth from their midst;And I will bring him near and he shall approach Me;For who would dare to risk his life to approach Me?’ declares the Lord.
We secure our food at the risk of our livesbecause of the sword in the wilderness.
"Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego! He sent his angel to deliver his servants who trusted in him. Even some officials of the province of Asia who were his friends sent him a message urging him not to risk his life in the theater.

He delivered us from so great a risk of death, and he will deliver us. We have set our hope on him that he will deliver us yet again,
