'Ropes' in the Bible
Woe to those who drag wickednesswith cords of deceitand pull sin along with cart ropes,
"Look at Zion, city of our festivals! Your eyes will see Jerusalem, an undisturbed abode, an immovable tent; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor will any of its ropes be broken.
Your ropes are slack;they cannot hold the base of the mastor spread out the flag. Then abundant spoil will be divided, the lame will plunder it,
“Enlarge the site of your tent, and let your tent curtains be stretched out;do not hold back;lengthen your ropes, and drive your pegs deep.
Isn’t the fast I choose:To break the chains of wickedness,to untie the ropes of the yoke,to set the oppressed free, and to tear off every yoke?
