'Sunlight' in the Bible
In the daytime it becomes dark for them, and in the sunlight they go feeling about as if it was night.
He is a fresh sapling planted in the sunlight, spreading out its branches over its garden.
In the dark, they dig through [the penetrable walls of] houses; by day they shut themselves up; they do not know the sunlight.
"In growing darkness, I walked without sunlight; I stood in the congregation to cry for help.
If I beheld [as an object of worship] the sunlight when it shone or the moon walking in its brightness,
For this is what the Lord has told me: "I will wait and watch from my place, like scorching heat produced by the sunlight, like a cloud of mist in the heat of harvest."
The moonlight will be as bright as the sunlight, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter-like the light of seven days-on the day that the Lord bandages His people's injuries and heals the wounds He inflicted.
Watch! I will make the shadow on the steps of the upper dial of Ahaz that marks the sun go ten steps backwards."'" Then the sunlight turned back on the dial the ten steps by which it had gone down.
The sunlight will be turned to darkness and the moon to the color of blood, before the day of the Lord comes -- that great and terrible day!
His radiance is like sunlight; beams of light shine from his hand, where his strength lays hidden.
On that day there will be no light; the sunlight and moonlight will diminish.
Night will no longer exist, and people will not need lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign forever and ever.
