through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to those sitting in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun; and his garments became white as the light.
For it is God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, that shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
