'Sworn' in the Bible
In my ears the Lord of hosts has sworn, “Surely, many houses shall become desolate,Even great and fine ones, without occupants.
The Lord of hosts has sworn saying, “Surely, just as I have intended so it has happened, and just as I have planned so it will stand,
“I have sworn by Myself,The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousnessAnd will not turn back,That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.
“For this is like the days of Noah to Me,When I swore that the waters of NoahWould not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with youNor will I rebuke you.
The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by His strong arm,“I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies;Nor will foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.”
