'Treaty' in the Bible
One of the survivors came and told Abram the Hebrew, who lived near the oaks belonging to Mamre the Amorite, the brother of Eshcol and the brother of Aner. They were bound by a treaty with Abram.
Abraham took some sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech. The two of them made a treaty.
So they made a treaty at Beer Sheba. Then Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, returned to the land of the Philistines.
"We've seen that the LORD is with you," they responded, "so we're proposing an agreement between us between us and you. Allow us to make a treaty with you
They woke up early the next morning and made the treaty. After this, Isaac sent them off and they left on peaceful terms.
