'Trembling' in the Bible
When he came into Jerusalem, the whole city was trembling with excitement. The people were asking, "Who is this?"
Trembling from fear, even the guards themselves became catatonic.
So the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came forward fearfully, fell down trembling in front of him, and told him the whole truth.
When the woman saw that she couldn't hide, she came forward trembling. Bowing down in front of him, she explained in the presence of all the people why she had touched Jesus and how she had been instantly healed.
The jailer asked for torches and rushed inside. Trembling as he knelt in front of Paul and Silas,
It was in weakness, fear, and great trembling that I came to you.
His affection for you is even greater as he remembers how obedient all of you were and how you welcomed him with fear and trembling.
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear, trembling, and sincerity, as when you obey the Messiah.
And so, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only when I was with you but even more now that I am absent, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
Indeed, the sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear."
