'Uncertain' in the Bible
The disciples started looking at one another—uncertain which one He was speaking about.
whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas (Peter) or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things are yours,
For if someone sees you, a person having knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, then if he is weak, will he not be encouraged to eat things sacrificed to idols [and violate his own convictions]?
For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].
And as he said in all his letters, which had to do with these things; in which are some hard sayings, so that, like the rest of the holy Writings, they are twisted by those who are uncertain and without knowledge, to the destruction of their souls.
