'Victory' in the Bible

Let us shout for joy at your victoryand lift the banner in the name of our God.May Yahweh fulfill all your requests.

Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed;He will answer him from His holy heavenwith mighty victories from His right hand.

Lord, give victory to the king!May He answer us on the day that we call.

For the choir director. A Davidic psalm.Lord, the king finds joy in Your strength.How greatly he rejoices in Your victory!

His glory is great through Your victory;You confer majesty and splendor on him.

A horse is a false hope for victory;Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.

For they did not take the land by their sword—their arm did not bring them victory—but by Your right hand, Your arm,and the light of Your face,for You were pleased with them.

For I do not trust in my bow,and my sword does not bring me victory.

But You give us victory over our foesand let those who hate us be disgraced.

“Moab is My washbowl;Over Edom I shall throw My shoe [in triumph];Over Philistia I raise the shout [of victory].”

They have seen your processions, O God, the processions of my God, my king, distinctive [in victory].

There are shouts of joy and victoryin the tents of the righteous:“The Lord’s right hand performs valiantly!

the Lord's right hand gives victory, the Lord's right hand conquers.

the One who gives victory to kings,who frees His servant Davidfrom the deadly sword.

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;He will beautify the humble with salvation.
