'Wrath' in the Bible
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of people, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart, you are storing up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
but to those [who act] from selfish ambition and who disobey the truth, but who obey unrighteousness, wrath and anger.
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? God, who inflicts wrath, [is] not unjust, [is he]? (I am speaking according to a human perspective.)
For the law produces wrath, but where [there] is no law, neither [is there] transgression.
Therefore, by much more, [because we] have been declared righteous now by his blood, we will be saved through him from the wrath.
And [what] if God, wanting to demonstrate his wrath and to make known his power, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?
Do not take revenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to [God's] wrath, for it is written, "Vengeance [is] mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
Therefore [it is] necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath but also because of conscience.
