'Yours' in the Bible
“What has this concern of yours to do with Me, woman?” Jesus asked. “My hour has not yet come.”
So Jesus, straightening up and seeing no one except the woman, said to her, "Where are those accusers of yours? Does no one condemn you?"
Then they asked him, "Where is this Father of yours?"
"We are descendants of Abraham," they answered, "and have never at any time been in slavery to any one. What do those words of yours mean, 'You shall become free'?"
Jesus answered and said, Not on my account has this voice come, but on yours.
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
I have revealed Your nameto the men You gave Me from the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me,and they have kept Your word.
Now [at last] they know [with confident assurance] that all You have given Me is from You [it is really and truly Yours].
I pray for them.I am not praying for the worldbut for those You have given Me,because they are Yours.
Everything I have is Yours, and everything You have is Mine, and I have been glorified in them.
Jesus replied, "If I want him to live until I come back, what concern is that of yours? You follow me!"
So the saying circulated among the brothers and sisters that this disciple was not going to die. But Jesus did not say to him that he was not going to die, but rather, "If I want him to live until I come back, what concern is that of yours?"
