'Abhor' in the Bible

I then will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and heap your remains on the remains of your idols, for My soul shall abhor you.

Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I so abhor them as to destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God.

You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned.

Yet You would plunge me into the pit,And my own clothes would abhor me.

“All my associates abhor me,And those I love have turned against me.

“They abhor me and stand aloof from me,And they do not refrain from spitting at my face.

He who says to the wicked, “You are righteous,”Peoples will curse him, nations will abhor him;

They hate him who reproves in the gate,And they abhor him who speaks with integrity.

Now hear this, heads of the house of JacobAnd rulers of the house of Israel,Who abhor justiceAnd twist everything that is straight,

You who say that one should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
