'Above' in the Bible

In the last daysthe mountain of the Lord’s house will be establishedat the top of the mountainsand will be raised above the hills.All nations will stream to it,

Seraphim were standing above Him; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

Does an ax exalt itselfabove the one who chops with it?Does a saw magnify itselfabove the one who saws with it?It would be like a staff waving the one who lifts it!It would be like a rod lifting a man who isn’t wood!

You said to yourself:“I will ascend to the heavens;I will set up my throneabove the stars of God.I will sit on the mount of the gods’ assembly,in the remotest parts of the North.

I will ascend above the highest clouds;I will make myself like the Most High.”

Whoever flees at the sound of panicwill fall into a pit,and whoever escapes from the pitwill be caught in a trap.For the windows are opened from heaven,and the foundations of the earth are shaken.

On that day the Lord will punishthe host of heaven aboveand kings of the earth below.

Woe to the majestic crown of Ephraim’s drunkards,and to the fading flower of its beautiful splendor,which is on the summit above the rich valley.Woe to those overcome with wine.

The fading flower of his beautiful splendor,which is on the summit above the rich valley,will be like a ripe fig before the summer harvest.Whoever sees it will swallow itwhile it is still in his hand.

Lord of Hosts, God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are God—You alone—of all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.

God is enthroned above the circle of the earth;its inhabitants are like grasshoppers.He stretches out the heavens like thin clothand spreads them out like a tent to live in.

“Heavens, sprinkle from above,and let the skies shower righteousness.Let the earth open upso that salvation will sproutand righteousness will spring up with it.I, Yahweh, have created it.
