'Aged' in the Bible

So Sarah laughed to herself [when she heard the Lord’s words], saying, “After I have become old, shall I have pleasure and delight, my lord (husband) being also old?”

Barzillai was a very old man, eighty years old; and he had provided the king with food while he stayed at Mahanaim, for he was a very great and wealthy man.

“With the aged [you say] is wisdom,And with long life is understanding.

“He deprives the trusted ones of speechAnd takes away the discernment and discretion of the aged.

“Among us are both the gray-haired and the aged,Older than your father.

The young men saw me and hid themselves,The aged arose and stood [respectfully];

Then Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite said,“I am young, and you are aged;For that reason I was anxious and dared not tell you what I think.

“Those [who are] abundant in years may not [always] be wise,Nor may the elders [always] understand justice.

I understand more than the aged [who have not observed Your precepts],Because I have observed and kept Your precepts.

But I am full of the wrath (judgment) of the Lord;I am tired of restraining it.“[I will] pour it out on the children in the streetAnd on the young men gathered together;For both the husband and wife shall be taken,The aged and the very old [though full of days they are not exempt from judgment].

Hear this, O elders,Listen closely, all inhabitants of the land!Has such a thing as this occurred in your days,Or even in the days of your fathers?
