'Cannot' in the Bible
You are the light of the world. A city located on top of a hill cannot be hidden,
Again for the second time he went away [and] prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will must be done."
Or do you think that I cannot call upon my Father, and he would put at my disposal at once more than twelve legions of angels?
And he also told them a parable: "Surely a blind person cannot lead the blind, [can he]? Will they not both fall into a pit?
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and furthermore, even his own life, {he cannot be} my disciple.
Whoever does not carry his own cross and {follow} me {cannot be} my disciple.
In the [same] way, therefore, every [one] of you who does not renounce all his own possessions {cannot be} my disciple.
The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I am testifying about it, that its deeds are evil.
You will seek me and will not find [me], and where I am, you cannot come."
What is this saying that he said, 'You will seek me and will not find [me], and where I am, you cannot come'?"
So he said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek me and will die in your sin. Where I am going you cannot come!"
Then the Jews began to say, "Perhaps he will kill himself, because he is saying, 'Where I am going you cannot come.'"
If he called them 'gods' to whom the word of God came--and the scripture cannot be broken--
Children, yet a little [time] I am with you. You will seek me and just as I said to the Jews, "Where I am going you cannot come," now I say also to you.
Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus replied, "Where I am going you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later."
And some men came down from Judea [and] began teaching the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom [prescribed] by Moses, you cannot be saved."
Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, "Unless these [men] remain with the ship, you cannot be saved!"
But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn [with sexual desire].
if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful--{he cannot deny himself}.
No one who is being tempted should say, "I am being tempted by God," for God {cannot be tempted} by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
