'Deaf' in the Bible
And Yahweh said to him, "Who gave a mouth to humankind, or who makes mute or deaf or sighted or blind? [Is it] not I, Yahweh?
You shall not curse [the] deaf, and you shall not put a stumbling block {before} a blind person, but you shall revere your God; I [am] Yahweh.
To you, O Yahweh, I call. O my rock, do not be deaf to me. Or else, if you are silent to me, then I will become like those descending to [the] pit.
You have seen, O Yahweh. Do not be deaf. O Lord, do not be far from me.
But as for me, like [the] deaf I cannot hear, and [I am] like [the] mute [who] cannot open his mouth.
Hear my prayer, O Yahweh, and listen [to] my cry for help; do not be deaf to my tears. For I [am] an alien with you, a sojourner like all my ancestors.
Their venom [is] like snake venom; [They are] like a deaf viper that closes its ear
And on that day, the deaf shall hear [the] words of a scroll, and [the] eyes of [the] blind shall see out of gloom and darkness.
Then [the] eyes of [the] blind shall be opened, and [the] ears of [the] deaf shall be opened.
Deaf people, listen! And blind people, look to see!
Who [is] blind but my servant or deaf like my messenger [whom] I sent? Who [is] blind like the one who is repaid or blind like the servant of Yahweh?
Bring out [the] people blind yet with eyes, and deaf, though they have ears.
The nations will see and be ashamed because of all their might. They will lay [the] hand on [the] mouth; their ears will be deaf.
the blind receive sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised, and the poor have good news announced to [them].
And they brought to him a man who was deaf and had difficulty speaking, and they were imploring him that he would place his hand on him.
And they were amazed beyond all measure, saying, "He has done all [things] well! He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak!"
Now [when] Jesus saw that a crowd was running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter into him no more!"
And he answered [and] said to them, "Go [and] tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear; the dead are raised, the poor have good news announced to [them].
