'Deceives' in the Bible

“When a person sins and acts unfaithfully against the Lord, and deceives his companion in regard to a deposit or a security entrusted to him, or through robbery, or if he has extorted from his companion,

If he destroys him from his place, then it deceives him, [saying], 'I have never seen you.'

“Will it be well when He examines you?Or will you deceive Him as one deceives a man?

For he flatters and deceives himself in his own eyesThinking that his sinfulness will not be discovered and hated [by God].

You love to use all the words that destroy, and the tongue that deceives.

You have turned Your back on all those who wander from Your statutes,For their deceitfulness is useless.

Their mouths speak lies, and their right hand deceives,

Rescue me and deliver me from the control of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies, and whose right hand deceives.
