'Doomed' in the Bible
Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You;According to the greatness of Your power preserve those who are doomed to die.
You have swept them away like a flood, they fall asleep [forgotten as soon as they are gone];In the morning they are like grass which grows anew—
For all our days pass away in Your wrath; We have finished our years like a whispered sigh.
That though the wicked sprout up like grassAnd all evildoers flourish,They will be destroyed forever.
To hear the groaning of the prisoner,To set free those who were doomed to death,
You reprimand arrogant people. Those who stray from your commands are doomed.
Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is the one who pays you backwhat you have done to us.
