'Downcast' in the Bible

but He did not have regard for Cain and his offering. Cain was furious, and he looked despondent.

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent?

When Joseph came to see them in the morning, he noticed how downcast they looked! They were both very sad.

“May your servant find favor with you,” she replied. Then Hannah went on her way; she ate and no longer looked despondent.

When they are made low, then thou shalt say, Rise up! and he shall save him that is of downcast eyes.
