'Eat' in the Bible

“If you consent and obey,You will eat the best of the land;

Say to the righteous that it will go well with them,For they will eat the fruit of their actions.

For seven women will take hold of one man in that day, saying, “We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes, only let us be called by your name; take away our reproach!”

Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture,And strangers will eat in the waste places of the wealthy.

He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good.

and because of the abundance of the milk produced he will eat curds, for everyone that is left within the land will eat curds and honey.

They slice off what is on the right hand but still are hungry,And they eat what is on the left hand but they are not satisfied;Each of them eats the flesh of his own arm.

Also the cow and the bear will graze,Their young will lie down together,And the lion will eat straw like the ox.

“Those who are most helpless will eat,And the needy will lie down in security;I will destroy your root with famine,And it will kill off your survivors.

They set the table, they spread out the cloth, they eat, they drink;“Rise up, captains, oil the shields,”

Instead, there is gaiety and gladness,Killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep,Eating of meat and drinking of wine:“Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die.”

Also the oxen and the donkeys which work the ground will eat salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork.

But Rabshakeh said, “Has my master sent me only to your master and to you to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, doomed to eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you?”

Do not listen to Hezekiah,’ for thus says the king of Assyria, ‘Make your peace with me and come out to me, and eat each of his vine and each of his fig tree and drink each of the waters of his own cistern,

“Why do you spend money for what is not bread,And your wages for what does not satisfy?Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,And delight yourself in abundance.

All you beasts of the field,All you beasts in the forest,Come to eat.

But you will be called the priests of the Lord;You will be spoken of as ministers of our God.You will eat the wealth of nations,And in their riches you will boast.

But those who garner it will eat it and praise the Lord;And those who gather it will drink it in the courts of My sanctuary.

Who sit among graves and spend the night in secret places;Who eat swine’s flesh,And the broth of unclean meat is in their pots.

Therefore, thus says the Lord God,“Behold, My servants will eat, but you will be hungry.Behold, My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty.Behold, My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.

“They will build houses and inhabit them;They will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

“They will not build and another inhabit,They will not plant and another eat;For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people,And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands.

The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the Lord.

“Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go to the gardens,Following one in the center,Who eat swine’s flesh, detestable things and mice,Will come to an end altogether,” declares the Lord.
