'Far' in the Bible

Lord, why do You stand so far away?Why do You hide in times of trouble?

For the choir director: according to “The Deer of the Dawn.” A Davidic psalm.My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?Why are You so far from my deliveranceand from my words of groaning?

Do not be far from me, because distress is nearand there is no one to help.

But You, Lord, don’t be far away.My strength, come quickly to help me.

You saw it, Lord; do not be silent.Lord, do not be far from me.

Lord, do not abandon me;my God, do not be far from me.

Like sheep they are headed for Sheol;Death will shepherd them.The upright will rule over them in the morning,and their form will waste away in Sheol,far from their lofty abode.

How far away I would flee;I would stay in the wilderness.Selah

Those who live far away are awed by Your signs;You make east and west shout for joy.

God, do not be far from me;my God, hurry to help me.

Those far from You will certainly perish;You destroy all who are unfaithful to You.

A devious heart will be far from me;I will not be involved with evil.

As far as the east is from the west,so far has He removedour transgressions from us.

Let his children wander as beggars,searching for food far from their demolished homes.

He loved cursing—let it fall on him;he took no delight in blessing—let it be far from him.

Those who pursue evil plans come near;they are far from Your instruction.

Salvation is far from the wickedbecause they do not seek Your statutes.

You know when I sit down and when I stand up;You understand my thoughts from far away.
