'Father' in the Bible

Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and so that you may prosper in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

You are to respond by saying in the presence of the Lord your God:My father was a wandering Aramean. He went down to Egypt with a few people and lived there. There he became a great, powerful, and populous nation.

‘The one who dishonors his father or mother is cursed.’And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

You will father sons and daughters, but they will not remain yours, because they will be taken prisoner.

Is this how you repay the Lord,you foolish and senseless people?Isn’t He your Father and Creator?Didn’t He make you and sustain you?

Remember the days of old;consider the years long past.Ask your father, and he will tell you,your elders, and they will teach you.

He said about his father and mother,“I do not regard them.”He disregarded his brothersand didn’t acknowledge his sons,for they kept Your wordand maintained Your covenant.
