'Father' in the Bible

for the Lord disciplines the one He loves,just as a father, the son he delights in.

When I was a son with my father,tender and precious to my mother,

Solomon’s proverbs:A wise son brings joy to his father,but a foolish son, heartache to his mother.

A wise son brings joy to his father,but a foolish man despises his mother.

A man fathers a fool to his own sorrow;the father of a fool has no joy.

A foolish son is grief to his fatherand bitterness to the one who bore him.

The one who assaults his father and evicts his motheris a disgraceful and shameful son.

Whoever curses his father or mother—his lamp will go out in deep darkness.

Listen to your father who gave you life,and don’t despise your mother when she is old.

The father of a righteous son will rejoice greatly,and one who fathers a wise son will delight in him.

Let your father and mother have joy,and let her who gave birth to you rejoice.

A discerning son keeps the law,but a companion of gluttons humiliates his father.

The one who robs his father or motherand says, “That’s no sin,”is a companion to a man who destroys.

A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father,but one who consorts with prostitutes destroys his wealth.

There is a generation that curses its fatherand does not bless its mother.

As for the eye that ridicules a fatherand despises obedience to a mother,may ravens of the valley pluck it outand young vultures eat it.
