'Favorite' in the Bible

In the day he divides his inheritance he must not appoint as firstborn the son of the favorite wife in place of the other wife's son who is actually the firstborn.

And of Asher he said, "Blessed {more than sons} [is] Asher; {may he be the favorite} of his brothers, {dipping his feet in the oil}.

These are the last words of David:The declaration of David son of Jesse,the declaration of the man raised on high,the one anointed by the God of Jacob,the favorite singer of Israel:

For Mordecai the Jew was second only to King Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews and in favor with his many fellow people, for he worked for the good of his people and spoke for the welfare and peace of his whole nation.

so that he detests bread,and his soul despises his favorite food.
