'First' in the Bible

Honor the Lord with your possessionsand with the first produce of your entire harvest;

The first thing is wisdom -- get wisdom, And with all thy getting get understanding.

"Yahweh possessed me, [the] first of his ways, before his acts {of old}.

From the age I was anointed, from the first, From former states of the earth.

before He made the land, the fields,or the first soil on earth.

The beginning of strife is like letting out water [as from a small break in a dam; first it trickles and then it gushes];Therefore abandon the quarrel before it breaks out and tempers explode.

He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.

An inheritance gotten wrongly at first, Even its latter end is not blessed.

First do your outside work, preparing your land for yourself. After that, build your house.
